dc.description.abstractIn a scenario of global competition and strategic dynamism, various stake holders of an newlineorganization expect and place a high demand for growth and profitability in business. The newlineonus lies on the employees of the organization to take their expectations forward. newlineEngaged employees of an organizations play a significant role in making these newlineexpectations into reality. They stay committed and put their fullest efforts and drive their newlineteam members towards the success of the organization .Hence utmost importance should newlinebe given to cater the aspirations of these engaged employees and necessary programmes newlineand actions should be initiated towards the less engaged and disengaged employees to newlinebring a behavioural change in their attitude . Organizations should roll out efficient newlineHuman resources policies and strategies focusing employee engagement. Better Human newlineresources strategies would enhance the likelihood of retaining not only the best talent but newlinealso the engaged talent .The implementation of effective employee engagement plans newlinewould result in less absenteeism and turnover ,higher performance and in turn a rise in newlinethe goodwill of the organization . If an organization possess highly engaged employees, newlineit derives from them the confidence in implementing changes in terms of processes, newlineproducts and new technology. Researchers have identified that those organizations that newlineare highly innovative have employees whose employee engagement levels at high. Hence newlineOrganizations with a vision towards innovations and high technology orientation depend newlineon employees who are highly engaged. They wish to retain them not only to ensure newlinesuccess and profitability, but also to retain them from being acquired by its competitors.
