dc.description.abstractnewline Background: Dengue fever, caused by the dengue virus (DENV), poses a significant global newlinehealth challenge, particularly in tropical and subtropical regions. The disease is primarily transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes and involves four serotypes (DENV-1 to DENV-4), complicating its epidemiology and control efforts. This research aims to explore the dynamics newlineof severe dengue infections, assess the impact of different serotypes, and evaluate public newlinehealth responses. The study focuses on the isolation of serious dengue viruses and their newlineimplications for healthcare systems, particularly in the WHO Southeast Asian Region, newlineincluding Central India. newlineMethods: The research is structured into five chapters, incorporating surveys and reviews of newlineexisting literature on dengue virus isolation and transmission dynamics. The methodology newlineincludes analyzing data from over one million reported dengue cases between 1997 and 2015, newlinewith a focus on the primary heterotypic infections that pose significant risks to various age newlinegroups. newlineResults: Findings indicate that severe dengue infections can range from mild upper newlinerespiratory tract symptoms to more severe manifestations, affecting millions globally. The newlinestudy highlights the vulnerability of older children and adults to dengue fever, particularly in newlineregions with high transmission rates. newlineConclusion: This thesis contributes significantly to dengue research by providing insights newlineinto viral dynamics and the public health implications of dengue outbreaks. It lays the newlinegroundwork for future studies in vaccine development and vector control strategies, aiming to newlineenhance public health preparedness against dengue in Central India and similar regions newlineworldwide. newlineKeywords: Dengue fever, dengue virus, serotypes, public health, vaccine development, vector control, epidemiology. newline
