Abstract

Spirituality is posited as existing at the very core, or heart, of being human. This newlinethesis focuses on the realistic challenges faced by the majority of the working newlinepopulation in India. India is a country given birth to spirituality, as packed with work newlineand no time themselves they are becoming victims of spiritual emptiness and fail to newlinebalance their personal and professional lives. newlineChapter 1 is dedicated to a detailed understanding of the concepts of spirituality, newlinedimensions of spirituality, emotional intelligence, dimensions of emotional newlineintelligence, work life balance, and its dimensions and satisfaction with life. This newlinechapter covers the relevance of spirituality in an era of digitization. It explains the newlineneed of conducting the present study and covers various challenges faced by Indians. newlineIt describes how being spiritually and emotionally strong enable people to have newlinecontrol of themselves and balance their personal and professional life which newlineultimately gives immense satisfaction with life. newlineChapter 2 provides a detailed context and relevance to the problem, briefly discussing newlinethe findings of other related studies. A major contribution in this area is given by newlinewestern countries, showing how western countries are far more concerned about their newlinepeople and their work life balance and how India has been lagging as far as newlinespirituality and emotional intelligence are concerned.
