Abstract

quotABSTRACT newlineIn the current research work, it was aimed to develop extended newlinerelease matrix tablets using neem (Azadiractha indica) and tamarind newline(Tamarindus indica) gums as polymers and aceclofenac (200 mg per newlinematrix tablet) and vildagliptin (100 mg per matrix tablet) as model drugs. newlineFrom the screening experiments using both gums and drugs in newlinecomparison with known synthetic polymer HPMC K100M, gum levels for newlineeach drug formulation were finalized for extension of drug release up to newline24 hours from the matrix tablets prepared using wet granulation newlinetechnique. All the powder blends and matrix tablets were evaluated for newlineflow and tablet properties. In vitro dissolution studies were carried out newlineusing pH 6.8 phosphate buffer for both drugs using USP apparatusquot newline newline
