A Retrospective Study to Assess the Development of Hridroga Myocardial Infarction Through Jyothishashastra Medical Astrology W S R Veerasimhaavalokah

Abstract

Out of the variables analyzed, Malefic Surya Graha and Malefic Planets in the 4th or 5th house showed significant associations with the cases and control groups, suggesting a potential influence of these factors. Other variables such as Shani in the 4th Sthana, Shani, Guru, Ravi in 4th sthana, Shani Mahadasha, Shani in Simha rashi and Surya in Kumba rashi did not show significant associations. Among100 Hridroga patient and healthy individual 63% of them have shown presence of one or the other criteria. For assessing the association between the criteria present in the groups chi-square test was performed and the p-value newlinewas found to be 0.043, which is below the standard alpha level of 0.05. This indicates a borderline statistically significant association between the criteria and the groups. : Among 100 subjects with Hridroga and 100 healthy volunteers. It was found that 10 among the Hridroga cases and 10 among the control group had Shani in the 4th house, 12 Hridroga subjects and 11 healthy subjects had Surya in Kumba Rashi, Shani in Simha Rashi was observed in 28 Hridroga subjects and 26 healthy subjects, A malefic Surya graha was found in 42 Hridroga subjects and 38 healthy subjects and 58 Hridroga subjects and 52 healthy subjects had a malefic planet in the 4th and 5th houses. Alternate hypothesis accepted with p value of 0.043 indicating a newlineborderline statistically significant association between the criteria and the groups.
