An Hybrid Approach for Energy Efficiency Enhancement of Wireless Communication System

Abstract

In the next generation wireless communication system, the number of mobile newlineusers are growing at a rapid pace. But the mobile network resources are limited. newlineHence in order to cater for the massive growth of mobile users with the available newlinelimited resources, optimization of the available resources is of utmost newlineimportance. newlineSo an Energy Efficient system, with the desired data throughput and reduction newlineof Energy Consumption is investigated with the available network resources. newlineThis can be done using many techniques, such as transmit Power Control, using newlinesmall cells, using massive multiple input multiple output (MIMO) etc. newlineWe have investigated an Energy Efficient 5G wireless communication system newlineusing ON-DEMAND Transmit Power Control technique for one macro cell newlinebase station and also for small cells mobile base stations respectively. newlineIt is an Hybrid Approach due to the Combination of ON-DEMAND and newlineTransmit Power Control techniques along with Small Cells Mobile Base newlinestations, which is used to achieve a max Energy Efficiency (EE), along with newlineachieving a max Quality of Service (QOS) Satisfaction Degree and a min Data newlinerate variance with the available mobile network resources. newlineThe Energy Efficiency is found out by taking into account the fixed circuit newlinepower losses, which is the power losses of the Analog to Digital converters, newlinefilters etc. newlineThe Energy Efficiency achieved is maximum due to data transmission taking newlineplace by power control technique and by on demand mobile user request. newlineThe Energy Efficiency also increases by using a number of small cells, as newlinecompared to a single macro-cell base station. Due to the increase in number of newlinesmall cells, the mobile user equipment gets connected with the base station of newlinethe nearest small cell, thereby reducing the distance between the mobile and the newlinesmall cell base station, which in turn increases the signal to noise ratio, data newlinethroughput and QOS. newlineAlso the data rate variance is less for increase in the number of small cells thus newlinegiving us an E
