Carotenoids are lipid soluble C40 tetraterpenoids derived from a 40-carbon polyene chain, the newlinebackbone of molecule. Although processed fruits and vegetables showed an increase in cis newlineisomers up to 10% to 39%, carotenoids are primarily found in an all-trans configuration. newlineCarotenoids have become an important component of the contemporary diet as a potential newlinebioactive ingredient that supports human health and has several good benefits in cancer, newlinecardiovascular disease (CVD), blindness, eye disorders, osteoporosis also in liver diseases. newlineHepatic diseases are the most leading cause of death worldwide. Unfortunately, the worldwide newlineincidence of chronic liver disease is increasing and is becoming a significant global health newlineproblem. Major causative agents of liver damage are different chemicals and drugs exposed to newlineliver like antitubercular drugs, paracetamol in high dose, toxic compounds like thioacetamide, newlineCCl4, dimethylnitrosamine, biological factors like viruses, bacterias, and parasites, newlineautoimmune diseases like biliary cirrhosis, hepatitis, and undeniably extreme alcohol newlineconsumption. With the growing global burden of liver disease, increasing attention has been newlinepaid on the possible beneficial role that carotenoids may play in the liver. Although, newlinecarotenoids have number of limitations like heat and water sensitivity, poor water solubility, newlinestability, and bioavailability etc. Various nanotechnology based nanoformulations has been newlinedeveloped in this regard, however the existing nanoformulations has some drawbacks like low newlineloading capacity, unstability of loaded bioactive, low solubility and bioavailability. Thus, it is newlinethe need of hours to develop novel drug delivery system carrying carotenoids. newlineCubosomes are extremely reliable biocompatible drug delivery system made up of newline
