The research explores sustainable alternatives to conventional red newlinebrick and conventional mortar by utilizing industrial by-products without newlineadding cement. A mixture of Fly ash, Lime and ground granulated blast newlinefurnace Slag (FaL-S) is used to produce Dry Stack Block (DSB) and mortar. newlineThe investigation scrutinizes the physical, mechanical and durability newlineproperties of FaL-S DSB and FaL-S Mortar, comparing them with newlineconventional Red Brick (RB) and Cement Mortar respectively. newlineIn FaL-S DSB, the full-size and 1/3rd scaled blocks were produced and newlinethe properties were compared. The reduced scaled FaL-S DSB was newlineconsidered to evaluate the performance under static and dynamic loads on the newlinestructures. newlineTen mixes were chosen in FaL-S DSB and examined for dimensional newlinetolerance, dry density, efflorescence, dry and wet compressive strength, water newlineabsorption and acid resistance. The study also calculated the embodied energy newlineand carbon emission. For FaL-S mortar, ten mixes were chosen and examined newlinefor density, initial and final setting time, compressive strength, shrinkage, newlineflexural strength, shear and flexural bond strength. Optimal FaL-S DSB and newlineFaL-S mortar mixes were chosen based on these test results. newlineFor static and dynamic load testing, three different types of masonry newlinestructures were constructed using FaL-S DSB and RB. The first masonry newlinestructure was conventional structure made of Red Brick with Cement Mortar newline(RB CM). Second masonry structure was made of Red Brick with FaL-S newlineMortar (RB FaL-SM) and the third was made of FaL-S DSB without mortar newlineand named as FaL-S Dry Stack Masonry (FaL-S DSM). newline newline
