Abstract

Indian Auto Industry has been growing at a significantly fast rate. Almost all leading global newlineplayers are having their manufacturing units for top brands of vehicles produced in India. This newlineyear, India becomes the third largest auto manufacturer in the world, replacing Japan from its newlineplace in the global ranking. With the advancement of technology, modern vehicles employ newlinestate-of-the-art of technology. One of the vital components of vehicles that determines their newlinespeed is braking system for which an efficient brake fluid is a must. newlineGovernment of India took several initiatives to bring growth of auto industry in terms of newlinemeeting the local demand as well as to capture the global market. In times to come, the market newlinegrowth will be of the dimensions that the manufacturers of Brake Fluids will have to strive newlinehard to meet the requirements of the industry. For modern vehicles, the quality of Brake Fluids newlinewill have to be of high standards. It is imminent that Brake Fluids of international standards newlineare available from local sources. Earlier, DOT 3 type of Brake Fluids were okay. Today, one newlineneeds Brake Fluids of quality equivalent or better than that of DOT 4. Even though DOT 3 newlineBrake Fluids enjoy the maximum market share at the present, manufacturers are replacing newlinethem by DOT 4. As a result, soon DOT 4 Brake Fluids will be the most used. newlineAs per the changing trends of global auto industry, manufacturers of Brake Fluids are newlineinnovating to supply high quality Fluids. From the literature it is evident that a lot of leads are newlineavailable, based on which, it will be possible to design novel Brake Fluids. Meeting the most newlinestringent requirements of Wet ERBP and low viscosity at -40 ºC together in a Brake Fluid is newlinealways a challenge!
