Synthesis and Characterization of Biologically Important Quinoline Derivatives

Abstract

In current days, the major research is going on the antimicrobial drugs due to newlineantimicrobial resistance. Generally, people are getting affected by bacterial infections due to the newlineenvironmental pollution, so that use of antibiotic drugs highly increased and it led to the newlineantimicrobial resistance which becomes a major global problem. To overcome this situation, newlinethere is a desperate need of small molecules, which can have significant biological properties and newlineshould be synthesized easily, faster and also economically. In the present research, we have newlinesynthesized heterocyclic compounds such as quinoline derivatives, since the quinoline newlinederivatives are well known as antimicrobial agents. In this work we have chosen quinoline as a newlinemain skeleton and various heterocyclic compounds such as thiadiazole, pyrazole, triazole, newlinethiazole and carbohydrazides are substituted to enhance the antimicrobial activity. All the newlinesynthesized compounds were confirmed by IR, NMR, LCMS and screened for their newlineantimicrobial activity newline
