Abstract
Child labour remains a pervasive issue in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, significantly impeding the rights and development of children. This study explores the pivotal role of education in the eradication of child labour in this region. By examining the socio-economic factors that drive child labour and evaluating the effectiveness of educational interventions, the research underscores how access to quality education can disrupt the cycle of poverty and exploitation that perpetuates child labour.
newlineThe study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative data. Interviews with affected families provide insights into the socio-economic pressures that force children into labour. Surveys of local schools assess the accessibility, quality, and impact of educational programs on reducing child labour. Case studies of successful initiatives offer practical examples of how education can transform lives and communities.
newline The study concludes with strategic recommendations for policymakers, educators, and NGOs to collaborate on implementing and enhancing educational programs aimed at eradicating child labour. These recommendations emphasize the need for comprehensive policies that address both educational access and economic support for families, ensuring that children can remain in school and out of the workforce.
