Abstract
To evaluate the toxic effects of arsenic (13.8 mg/kg b.wt ) and lead (116.4 mg/kg
newlineb.wt ) together in liver, kidney, brain and testis and protective effect of Emblica
newlineofficinalis and Zingiber officinalis in male wistar Albino rats.
newline2.2. Objectives
newlinei. Effects of arsenic (13.8 mg/kg b.wt) and lead (116.4 mg/kg b.wt ) on
newlineserum biochemical parameters ( liver and kidney function markers ,
newlinelipid profile and protection by Emblica officinalis and Zingiber
newlineofficinalis.
newlineii. Histopathological studies of liver, kidney, brain and testis on arsenic
newline(13.8 mg/kg b.wt) and lead (116.4 mg/kg b.wt) toxicity and protection
newlineby Emblica officinalis and Zingiber officinalis.
newlineiii. To find out the molecular mechanisms underlying the effect of
newlineEmblica officinalis and Zingiber officinalis extract on the expression of
newlineinflammatory signalling molecules in live, kidney brain and testis.
newline 2.3. Ethical consideration:
newlineThe study was approved by the Institutional Animal Ethics Committee and met
newlinethe Guidelines of the committee for the purpose of control and supervision of
newlineexperimentation on animals (CPCSEA) [Approval no. BRULAC/SDCH/SIMATS/IAEC/09-
