dc.description.abstractThe prevalence and incidence of chronic kidney diseases (CKDs) are both rising globally. End-stage renal disease (ESRD) patients are thought to number three million worldwide, with an approximate 7% annual increase rate on the end of 2022. A membranes potential as a semi-permeable barrier was first used as a result of Abbe Nollets (1748) transport inquiry membrane phenomena that occur in nature. The project was advanced by Fick, who created the fundamental laws defining transportation in 1855 still extensively employed mechanism in a semi-permeable membrane. But the first extracorporeal hemodialysis procedure wasn t done until 1945 by Kolff, in which the semi-permeable barrier was made of sausage skins to remove the bloods uremic poisons.
