dc.description.abstractA field experiment entitled Standardization of agro-techniques in chrysanthemum newline(Dendranthema grandiflora Tzvelev) cv. Marigold was conducted during kharif, 2018-19 newlineand 2020-21 at the Horticulture Garden, Department of Horticulture, UAS, Raichur. The newlinefirst experiment was laid out in a split plot design with fifteen treatments including month newlineof planting, spacing and their combination in three replications. The result emanated from newlinethe experiment significantly recorded maximum growth, flower yield and quality newlineparameters. Transplanting during second fortnight of august at the spacing of 45 cm × 45 newlinecm (M1S3) recorded maximum plant height, number of branches, stem girth, leaf area, days newlineto first flowering, flower yield per plant (g), flower diameter (cm), stalk length (cm), shelf newlinelife (days), vase life (days), higher net returns and B: C ratio. Whereas, maximum flower newlineyield per plot and flower yield per hectare was observed in the in the treatment of second newlinefortnight of august transplanting with spacing of 30 cm × 30 cm (M1S2) during both the newlineyears of experimentation. Second experiment was laid out in a factorial Randomized Block newlineDesign with sixteen treatments including spraying of growth regulators, pinching and their newlinecombination in three replications. The result emanated from the experiment significantly newlinerecorded maximum growth, flower yield and quality parameters. Pinching at 30 and 45 newlinedays after planting, and foliar application of 6 BAP at 20 ppm (G4P4) recorded maximum newlineplant height, number of branches, stem girth, leaf area, days to first flowering, flower yield newlineper plant (g), flower yield per plot (kg), flower diameter (cm), stalk length (cm), shelf life newline(days), vase life (days), higher net returns and B: C ratio during both the years of newlineexperimentation. newline
