Due to their versatility in power or motion transmission, gearboxes have a wide range of newlineapplications in Industry 4.0. The level of noise and vibration across the entire system in- newlinecreases with every transmission fault or unexpected gearbox breakdown. It could result in newlinesevere injury, business failure, and significant financial loss. Because of this, industry re- newlinesearch in this field is dominated. Two types of methods have been used for fault diagnosis newlineof straight bevel gearbox: 1) Physical Model-Based methods 2) Data driven methods. The newlinework presents the electromechanical modelling of straight bevel gear pair with multiple newlinefault conditions such as healthy tooth, cracked tooth, chipped tooth, and missing tooth newlinewith multi degree of freedom system is very much sparse. The time-varying mesh stiffness newline(TVMS) of straight bevel gear pair is developed analytically using Tredgold approxima- newlinetion. Along with this, the improved crack model that take parabolic curve as limiting newlineline and straight line for crack propagation is incorporated in the TVMS model. The newlinedeveloped model is simulated by incorporating TVMS value at different fault conditions newlineone by one to study the dynamic characteristics of the system. In this study, the severity newlineof multiple faults are effectively shown by vibration responses in time and frequency do- newlinemain. The simulated results are compared and verified with experimental results under newlinemultiple fault conditions. We must take into account the power electronics drive model, newlinebacklash model, bearing backlash model, structural component model, tooth form error newlinemodel, and many more models in order to satisfactorily match the experimental results. newlineDespite including all of them, we won t be able to match the trial results exactly. Based newlineon data driven model, only conventional time domain feures have been studied for gearbox newlinefault diagnosis. So a higher order moment (HOM) based gearbox fault diagnosis in which newlinethe logarithmic amplitude of HOM (LHOM) is proposed as a new feature for gearbox newlinefault diagnosis rathe
