Abstract

These days, the social and economic conditions are characterized by newlinenew types of modern associations caused by complex factors such as market newlineglobalization, product life cycle decrease, intense interest variability, need for newlinehigh adaptability and responsiveness, and quick improvement of the newlineadvancements of data and communication. Failure Mode and Effects Analysis newline(FMEA) is an analytical methodology utilized in item development circles to newlineguarantee that potential issues have been considered and addressed. FMEA is newlinea highly settled technique for anticipating failures in technical systems created newlineover the last five decades. It turned into a standard device, particularly since its newlineintroduction to the automotive industry. Numerous researchers investigated the newlineapplication of FMEA in different sectors like the production of Tea powder, newlinemanufacturing of automobile parts, production of vibration absorbers, etc. newlineHowever, there is a scope for deploying FMEA in the bus body structure newlinemanufacturing process. So, the proposed research discusses the application of newlineFMEA in the bus body-building process to identify possible failures. newlineFMEA is an effective method utilized to recognize and eliminate newlineknown or potential failures to improve the reliability and safety of the complex newlinesystem, proposing to give data for making risk management decisions. Now, newlinethe manufacturing of the bus body is considered, and the possible defect of an newlineitem or procedure and its consequences are surveyed. The potential failure newlinemodes of the bus structure are investigated based on primary operations such newlineas the drilling, grinding, and welding process. The possible consequences of newlineevery defect are measured as the seriousness of the mode of failure, the newlineincidence or reappearance of the defect, and the possibility of identifying the newlinefailure. FMEA with Fuzzy Logic (FL) is applied along with a hybrid Teaching newlineand Learning Based Optimization (TLBO) algorithm to enhance the ranking of newlinea possible mode of failure that occurred in the bus bodybuilding process
