dc.description.abstractIn the modern day world introducing mineral or chemical admixtures for the replacement of cement and using as an additional binding material in many research works have been carried out in practice It is the latest trend in the concrete technology to modify the various parameters in fresh as well as in hardened concrete Fresh concrete properties are wet density workability slump compact ability heat of hydration flow ability and pumpability The properties of hardened concrete are density permeability water absorption and strength hardness The above properties can be modified by the introduction of suitable admixtures Many research works have been carried out on concrete mixed with different admixtures and water of different quality Their influences in modifying the concrete parameters are also being studied In this study a sincere attempt has been made to replace cement with fly ash in various percentages as 0 10 20 30 40 50 and 60 along with or without silica fume as an additional admixture in making concreteen_US
