Improving security in iot based cloud computing through integration of blockchain technology and hybrid cryptography

Abstract

newline The rapid proliferation of smart devices and their integration into our daily lives have transformed humans into integral components of the Internet of Things (IoT). This evolution extends from household gadgets to industrial automation machinery, creating a seamless network that shapes relationships with the environment. In this digital landscape, cloud-based computation plays a central role, serving as the backbone for processing vast amounts of data generated by interconnected devices. However, the symbiotic relationship between the IoT and cloud-based computing presents significant challenges, particularly in the realms of data privacy and security. This research addresses these challenges by emphasising the need for a privacy preserving Resource Allocation Scheme tailored specifically for IoT-based Cloud Computing. At its core, this research seeks a delicate balance between optimising resource allocation efficiency and safeguarding user data privacy. With devices continuously communicating and sharing data with cloud-based servers, ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive information has become paramount. The primary objective of the proposed scheme involves two key aspects. First, it aims to optimise resource allocation, enhancing the overall efficiency of the IoT-based cloud infrastructure. Second, it endeavours to establish robust mechanisms for safeguarding user data privacy throughout the data processing stage. Striking this delicate balance is crucial not only for maximising the utility of the interconnected system but also for instilling confidence in users that their personal data receives meticulous care and respect, thus maximising data security. In the expansive landscape of IoT,
