Porous hybrid Material based Membranes for Water Remediation

Abstract

The research herein explores porous-hybrid material-based membranes for efficient water remediation, incorporating metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), MOF/polymer composites and polyMOFs as nanoadditives to influence membrane properties and enhance membrane performance. The integration of MOFs into polymeric membranes has been investigated to leverage their high porosity, tunable surface chemistry and exceptional rejection efficiency. MOF/polymer composite membranes fabricated via blending/mixing to improve hydrophilicity, antifouling properties and selective pollutant removal. newline
