Abstract

Throughout recorded history, Indian society has been plagued by many social evils such as the caste system, child marriage, prohibition of widow remarriage, sati, denial of education to the lower caste people, prohibitions upon public access to a variety of people, and many more. The Shudra, Atishudra, and all women lived in a lot of superstition and darkness in the world. As a result, a vast majority of Indian people remained backward and suffered in the economic, social, cultural, and political sectors. These types of problems were very dangerous to the integrity of the people of India. If India wanted to live with integrity at the global level as a nation then, all men and women had to have equal rights. Therefore many nationalist leaders tried to come on one platform and get together as a group to provide solidarity for all people of India. Tilak was one of those who dedicated their life to Indian freedom. To give a sense of togetherness to all people of India. Some nationalist leaders started socio-political reform movements in modern India.
