A Study On The Internal And External Imagery Of The Players In Relation To Their Hitting Performance In Hockey

Abstract

The present study is entitled A Study on the Internal and External Imagery of the Players in Relation to Their Hitting Performance in Hockey . The study was delimited to220university players wereselected from selected college of Punjab with the age group of 18-23 years. The method used for data collection was Standardized questionnaire and the subjects were selected withrandom sampling method. After that the data was analyzed with the help of t test the following conclusion was made: newline The Kinesthetic Imagery Training program was effective as the MIQ-R score improved significantly for all the 8 items after the training. i.e. the mean difference between Pre andPost test was found to be significant at 0.05 level of significance. newline The External Visual Imagery Training program was effective as the MIQ-R score improved significantly for all the 8 items after the training. i.e. the mean difference between Pre andPost test was found to be significant at 0.05 level of significance. newline The Internal Visual Imagery Training program was effective as the MIQ-R score improved significantly for all the 8 items after the training. i.e. the mean difference between Pre andPost test was found to be significant at 0.05 level of significance. newline newline newline
