Abstract
Entrepreneurial intention is widely regarded as a crucial predictor of entrepreneurial
newlinebehaviour, yet not all intentions culminate in concrete entrepreneurial actions. This gap has
newlineprompted researchers to investigate the mediating and moderating variables that influence
newlinewhether entrepreneurial intentions lead to actual behaviour. One of the most significant
newlinevariables in this context is entrepreneurial motivation. Motivation acts as both a catalyst
newlineand a sustaining force that bridges the gap between an individual s intention to start a
newlinebusiness and the actual execution of entrepreneurial behaviour. This study explores the intricate dynamics between entrepreneurial intention and
newlineentrepreneurial behaviour, with a specific focus on the moderating role of entrepreneurial
newlinemotivation. Drawing upon the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) and the Entrepreneurial
newlineEvent Model (EEM), the research seeks to provide a comprehensive understanding of how
newlinemotivation influences the translation of intention into action. Utilizing primary data
newlinecollected through a structured survey from a sample of 770 postgraduate students across
newlineGujarat, the study empirically examines the strength and nature of the relationships among
newlinethese variables. The findings highlight a significant positive correlation between
newlineentrepreneurial intention and behaviour, while also revealing that entrepreneurial
newlinemotivation significantly moderates this relationship. Moreover, the integrated TPB and
newlineEEM framework demonstrates strong predictive capacity in explaining entrepreneurial
newlineoutcomes when motivation is considered. The study offers valuable insights for
newlinepolicymakers, educators, and entrepreneurship support organizations to design targeted
newlineinterventions that not only enhance intentions but also stimulate behaviour through
newlinemotivational enhancement strategies.
