dc.description.abstractThis study is focused around identification of the current status of identified Sustainable Supply Chain practices in Indian automotive two-wheeler industry and their impact on Sustainable chain management performance and firm performance. The current study has identified the gaps from the existing literature such as not many comprehensive studies have been done including all the three dimensions of sustainability and there are limited empirical studies which are focused on Indian automotive industry. Further most of the studies have focused on impact on GSCM practices on environmental and financial performance but very few studies have explored impact on GSCM/SSCM on social performance and economic dimension in underrepresented in the existing literature in SSCM domain. Building on the theoretical framework of resource-based theory, stakeholder theory and social capital theory, the study uses the combination of resource based theory, stakeholder theory and social capital theory. The study focusses on Indian Automobile Industry as the industry has started its focus on safe, green, affordable and inclusive transportation to minimize its impact on environment. The objectives of the study are to understand the various dimensions of sustainable supply chain management practices, sustainable supply chain management performance and Firm performance and their interrelationship in context to Indian Two-Wheeler Industry. The study uses the primary data for validation of structured questionnaire and uses PLS-SEM for evaluation of proposed model. Various hypotheses were developed to ascertain the relationship between the identified variables in the construct. The study concludes that Sustainable supply chain management practices have a significant and positive effect on Sustainable supply chain management performance.
