dc.description.abstract	The research is an attempt to explore the field of popular literature and popular fiction in the light of selected bestseller popular fictions.Five popular bestseller fictions namely The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, Eleven Minutes by Paulo Coelho, The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, Life of Pi by Yann Martel and If Tomorrow Comes by Sidney Sheldon are selected to examine characteristics and reasons for popularity of popular fictions.Success of these popular fictions in recent times suggests that possibilities should be explored to study popular fictions. Researchers and scholars should consider it for further study and treat it as a unique medium that deserves its own space and filed. newline newline
