Assessment of digester on marketing and socio economic sustainability of small scale industries

Abstract

Climatic conditions are predominant factors impacting the tourism industry and any potential irregularities in the near future are bound to bring about consequential alterations in the very structure and effectiveness of this sector of activity. The relative suitability of regions and countries for tourism activities is also likely to be altered by climate change, see (Higham and Hall 2005; Rossello and Santana 2012). newlineClimate changes are bound to have socio-economic effects owing to several reasons, besides, the impacts are bound to be different in different geographical locations. Most severely to be impacted are the developing nations. Therefore, it is the need of the hour to adapt to these alterations and take up preventive measures to reduce its impact.(Naude, 2011). These changes and their associated impacts, such as the potential for increased erosion and damage to physical assets, are particularly likely to affect investors in sectors dependent on large fixed assets, such as tourism, water, property, construction, energy, and infrastructure, as well as other climate-sensitive sectors, including health care, agriculture, forestry and insurance. The reality is that, as a result of past emissions, the world is sure to experience further warming in the decades ahead. Adaptation is, therefore, essential for dealing with the unavoidable impacts of climate change (Sullivan et al., 2008). Many countries have developed national climate strategies that are based on a diverse range of policy instruments such as economic instruments, regulation, research and development, and public awareness and information. Energy efficiency, fuel switching, public transportation, and renewable energies typically are promoted. The government sector itself is an increasingly common target for GHG mitigation, and greening of government purchasing policies has started to take place in some countries (OECD, 1999).
