During the past three decades, the world has witnessed the emergence of two paradigms under the titles, lean manufacturingand#8223; and agile manufacturingand#8223;. Lean manufacturing refers to the ability of producing traditional products by spending minimum resources through the elimination of wastes. Agile manufacturing refers to the practice of developing innovative products quickly in accordance with the dynamic demands of the customers without compromising profitability. While lean manufacturing has been applied to a large extent in companies, agile manufacturing is gaining momentum in implementing it implicitly and explicitly in companies. While modern manufacturing companies have been able to implement agile manufacturing, the traditional manufacturing companies have been implementing lean manufacturing and then moving towards acquiring agile capabilities. This situation has been promoting the need of implementing a paradigm that would combine both lean and agile manufacturing principles. In order to meet this requirement, researchers have brought out a paradigm under the title leagile manufacturingand#8223;. While leagile manufacturing is yet to find explicit adoption in companies, a section of researchers have been actively pursuing researches on the same. These researchers have found that supply chain management plays crucial role in effectively implementing leagile manufacturing in companies. On recognising this research finding, many researches have been carried out on leagile supply chain management. Hence, a need has arisen to enable the traditional manufacturing companies to implement leagile supply chain management principles. The success of implementing these principles lies in the successful measurement of the performance of leagile supply chains. newline newline newline
