Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women. It may or may not be newlineinherited. In addition to hereditary mutation, the somatic mutation has to occur newlinefor the cancer to get expressed and this somatic mutation is the result of life newlinetime risk factor. DNA repair is a collection of processes by which a cell identifies newlineand corrects damage to the DNA molecules that encode its genome.DNA repair newlinegene inactivation seemed to be an important event in carcinogenesis. In this newlinepoint of view the present study has taken an attempt for breast cancer newlineprevention and control through analyzing the genetic basis of association newlinebetween dermatoglyphics and breast cancer. The results of the present study confirm the impact of DNA repair genetic newlinepathways in breast carcinoma particularly in population with distinct newlinedermatoglyphic variables and its fluctuating asymmetry. Association with newlinehormone based life events may produce epigenetic changes in the gene and newlineaffects the quality of life, thus resulting in breast cancer. Dermatoglyphics being newlinea non-invasive anatomical biomarker, if practiced as a screening procedure to newlineisolate the breast cancer and high risk population there may be a great newlinereduction in the incidence and prevalence of breast cancer. The outcome of the newlinepresent study suggests fluctuating asymmetry of dermatoglyphics to be a highly newlinesensitive measure to identify the genomic instability of an individual. On the newlineother hand epigenetics is playing a vital role in inducing carcinogenesis. Two newlinefactors responsible for epigenetic alterations are food and lifestyle habitations. It newlineis the incorporation of balanced nutritious healthy food, physical activity and newlineregular exercise as a part of our daily life and avoiding habits that act as newlinemodifiable risk factors like having poor quality foods, junk foods, packed, and newlinepreserved foods, lack of exercise and sedentary life style.
