Design and development of a novel security architecture in manet

Abstract

Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a self-organizing independent newlinecommunication infrastructure. MANET is a collection of mobile nodes equipped newlinewith a wireless transmitter and a receiver. Nodes can dynamically self-organize newlineinto arbitrary and temporary ad hoc network topologies to communicate with newlineeach other. Their transmission range uses bidirectional wireless links without newlineany central infrastructure. Each node can communicate with other nodes within newlinethe transmission range. MANET has its applications in commerce, emergency newlineservices, military, education, e-health, the tactical networks, rescue operation, newlinecommunication and entertainment. In MANET, a group of mobile hosts with newlinewireless network boundaries forms an impermanent network without the newlineassistance of any fixed infrastructure or integrated management. In MANET, newlineproviding authentication and security to location-based routing is an important newlinetask. Security attacks such as black hole attack and selective forwarding attack in newlineMANET causes security threats that make the environment vulnerable. Usually, newlinesuch attackers degrade the network performance in terms of packet loss, newlinecollision, and overhead. It is very much essential to develop novel security architecture in newlineMANET to protect the nodes from anonymous behaviors. newline newline
