dc.description.abstractThe green politics in India is an attempt to involve environmental dimensions within newlinethe phenomena of various political ideologies and dimensions of action required. It newlinemeans the pivotal shift towards cleaner and environmentally friendly policies and newlinepractices, while realizing it as a process linking environmental well-being and overall newlinewelfare to the growth and prosperity of society. The area of study being always in newlinemotion and updating itself, green politics in India covers a broad spectrum of issues, newlineranging from conservation to pollution control, sustainable development, and climate newlinechange mitigation the last of which, obviously, must be indispensable in shaping the newlineenvironmental impact of a nation. newlineGreen politics in India has gradually evolved over time to reflect the changing newlineobjectives and changing views of environmental governance. From a global point of newlineview, India has been at the forefront of environmental movements across the world, newlineacting as a tireless champion of sustainable development and effective conservation newlinepolicies. Its country s commitment to green politics is evident in active participation in newlineinternational agreements, such as the Paris Agreement, where they pledged to reduce newlinetheir carbon footprint and promote sustainable practices. Environmental concerns, newlinealong with a comprehensive understanding of its importance to future generations, lie newlineat the core of the Indian green political ethos. newlineThe political ethos of India is basically based on the fact that there is a concern for the newlineenvironment, and a complete knowledge of their value to future generations is given. newlineThis concern is reflected in the country s efforts towards the tackling of the pressing newlineenvironmental problems of air pollution, water pollution, deforestation, and newlinebiodiversity loss, among others. India s green politics further indicates the complicated newlinerelationship between environmental concerns and social and economic progress and newlinehighlights the necessity for a comprehensive, holistic approach in seeking sustainable newlinedevelopment.
