Abstract
Bio-prospecting and molecular characterization of agro waste degrading bacteria have gained significant attention in recent years due to their potential biotechnological applications in sustainable waste management and resource utilization. In this study, a diverse range of environmental samples were screened to isolate bacteria capable of efficiently degrading various agro waste materials, including agricultural residues and organic by-products. The isolated bacterial strains were subjected to molecular characterization, including gene sequencing and enzymatic analysis, to elucidate their enzymatic capabilities and identify key genes involved in agro waste degradation. Enzymatic assays revealed the production of a variety of hydrolytic enzymes, such as cellulases, hemicellulases, and lignin-modifying enzymes, by the selected bacterial strains. Furthermore, the gene sequencing provided insights into the genetic basis of the bacterial degradation pathways, shedding light on the enzymatic mechanisms involved in agro waste degradation. This knowledge is crucial for optimizing enzymatic cocktails and bioprocessing conditions for efficient waste conversion. The biotechnological applications of these agro waste degrading bacteria are vast and diverse. The enzymes produced by these bacteria hold potential for various bioprocesses, including biofiber production, biopulping, and bioremediation of dye. Moreover, the utilization of agro waste as a feedstock for biotechnological applications can contribute to the circular economy by converting waste into valuable resources. Overall, the bio-prospecting and molecular characterization of agro waste degrading bacteria offer promising solutions for sustainable waste management and resource utilization. These findings contribute to advancing biotechnological practices that promote environmental sustainability and pave the way for the development of a bio-based and eco-friendly economy.
