dc.description.abstractAbstract newlineThis study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of selected herbal toothpaste extracts on physiological changes associated with oral micro-biota. Three different herbal toothpaste extracts were selected and evaluated for their ability to reduce plaque formation, gingival inflammation, and microbial growth. The study was conducted on 120 healthy volunteers, and the participants were randomly divided into three groups, each using a different herbal toothpaste for four weeks. newlineThe physiological changes associated with oral micro-biota were assessed using various parameters, including salivary microbial count. The results showed that all three herbal toothpaste extracts were effective in reducing plaque formation, gingival inflammation, and microbial growth as well as bioactive potential. newlineThe herbal toothpaste extract (sample A) containing natural ingredients showed the highest efficacy in reducing plaque formation and gingival inflammation. The toothpaste extract (sample B) showed the highest efficacy in reducing salivary microbial count. The toothpaste extract as sample c showed moderate efficacy in reducing plaque formation, gingival inflammation, and microbial growth. newlineIn conclusion, the selected herbal toothpastes showed promising results in improving the physiological changes associated with oral micro-biota. Further studies with larger sample sizes and longer durations are recommended to confirm these findings. newline
