Odisha has 9% of the Country s total bamboo forest cover and 7% of total newlinegrowing stock of Bamboo. Samples have been taken from Cuttack district newlinefor the present study. For the analysis of market economy of bamboo newlineproducts 600 samples are taken, out of which 300 are bamboo artisans, 200 newlineare consumers and 100 are sellers. Survey has been done through clustering newlineand stratified sampling. Statistical methods like Chi-square Test, ANOVA newlinetest, Regressions and Correlation analysis has been used for data analysis newlineand inferences has been drawn. A particular traditional product Kula is newlinedominating the market. Product dynamism is absent because this product has newlineno international market potential. Odisha is having abundant bamboo newlineresourses, but it lacks proper market regulation with sufficient policy for newlinemarketing and upgrading the products. The sample survey on the market newlineeconomy of bamboo products in Cuttack district reveals that the bamboo newlineproduct is decreasing over the years. The supply of bamboo product is not influenced by price , cost, income and family size. The revenue and price newlinecollection through different market are influenced by various institutional newlineand non institutional factors. It is also observed that due to insufficient newlinetraining there is absence of product dynamism across the bamboo products. newlineLack of product dynamism leads to decrease in income level of the bamboo newlineartisans. Training, marketing, production dynamism, a better surrounding, newlineatmosphere and good market can solve the problem of the bamboo products in the market. It required a good manufacturing code and conduct to reduce newlinethe exploitation of the artisans by the middlemen. Poor men s gold is always newlinein a glittering mode, we have to engross it according to the market newlinerequirement. newline
