Investigation of Tellurium Based Nanostructured Materials for Mid Temperature Thermoelectric Application

Abstract

Currently, the importance of electrical energy is increasing due to the development of electronic devices. It encourages the scientists to look for energy sources that can offer electrical energy for an extended period without harming the environment. Thermoelectricity (TE) is the unique conversion technology that generates electricity from the waste heat released by power plants and industries. In this regard, the researchers are drawn to nanomaterials for thermoelectric application which is encouraging for pollution-free technological development. So far, the thermoelectric performances of various nanomaterials with significant findings have been reported by various researchers. In this thesis, the role of tellurium on different nanostructures (composite, solid solution, and ternary compound) is discussed newline
