dc.description.abstractnewlineA range of methods is available for the synthesize nanoparticles. However these methods are associated with production of undesirable byproducts which are quite hazardous and high costs. Thus a number of efforts are being made to develop novel cost effective safe and reliable green procedures which caned produce desired nanoparticles. In this study we caned successfully develop a green synthesis method for preparation of silver, gold and bimetallic nanoparticles using plant leaf extract and sheep milk as reducing and capping agents. The morphological studies of the biosynthesized nanoparticles are done using UV-vis, TEM and FESEM. The nanoparticles formation takes place within short time as the reaction is completed few minutes. The EDAX and XRD confirm the crystallinity of the particles. This green-clean synthetic process is conducted in natural environmental conditions. Possible mechanism of the biosynthesis is studied by FTIR. The stability studies of the colloidal nanoparticles solution confirm that the solution is stable for many weeks. newline Study of bio-functionalized AgNP is done for in-vitro free radical scavenging activity using DPPH method and antimicrobial studies are carried out on both gram positive and negative microbes. In free radical scavenging study, we observed that the nanoparticles mopped up the free radicals in dose dependent manner. These nanoparticles prove to be toxic against human pathogens and the effect of AgNP and Au-Ag are concentration dependent and independent of the type of strains. In vitro anti- malignant activity on two different cell lines were studied using functionalized AuNP. Study infer that the functionalized AuNP synthesized with cassia tora , sheep milk and desmodium gangeticum showed an excellent anti-cancer effect on all the cell lines. These results suggested that the treatment of synthesized metallic nanoparticles significantly reduces the cell viability of cancer cell line in a dose dependent manner.
