| dc.description.abstract | Subscription to a customized Health Insurance plan is vital for managing the health care needs. newlineMedical emergencies come uninvited so, it is wise to concoct in advance for such precarious newlinesituations. Mounting pollution levels, sedentary lifestyles, critical illnesses, chronic diseases and newlinepandemic outbreak situations like coronavirus require a scorching need for subscription to health newlineinsurance plans. The skyrocketing medical cost can be a financial and medical stress giver unless newlineone has methodically invested funds for meeting such a medical contingency. This study aims to newlinebring forward customers awareness and factors that influence their perception towards health newlineinsurance schemes. It further examines the service quality dimensions and their impact on newlinecustomer satisfaction across demographic and socio-economic aspects. The research design of newlinethe present study is exploratory cum descriptive. Study is conducted on 611respondents from the newlinefour districts of Punjab, selected on the basis of literacy rates of two most literate districts and newlinetwo least literate districts of Punjab as per Census of India 2011.
