dc.description.abstractnewline The study titled quotAn Anthropological Study of Health Status and Health Care Infrastructure among the Gond and Baiga of Pushprajgarh in Madhya Pradeshquot explores the intricate relationship between health status, cultural practices, and the availability and efficacy of healthcare infrastructure in tribal communities. The Gond and Baiga, two prominent tribal groups in Pushprajgarh, are emblematic of India s rich tribal heritage and present unique challenges and opportunities in the realm of public health and anthropological research. The primary aim of this study is to conduct an in-depth exploration of the traditional health practices, perceptions of well-being, and socio-cultural determinants of health within the Gond and Baiga tribal communities. It examines the dynamic interplay between indigenous medical systems, reliance on traditional healers, and the integration of modern healthcare facilities into the tribal landscape. Particular emphasis is placed on evaluating the availability, accessibility, and quality of healthcare infrastructure in Pushprajgarh. The study also highlights the health and hygiene practices among these tribes, shedding light on their awareness of existing health services and government-run health schemes. It further investigates the utilization and satisfaction levels associated with these services, the changes in tribal life brought about by their adoption, and the expectations of the communities from such initiatives. Additionally, the study identifies the barriers or challenges faced by these tribes in accessing quality healthcare services. By analyzing these aspects, the research provides valuable insights into the gaps and opportunities for improving healthcare delivery in tribal regions.
