dc.description.abstractMobile nodes are connected by wireless channels in a multi-hop newlineway is defined as Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANET). Ad hoc networks, newlineunlike traditional wireless networks, have no centralized network newlineinfrastructure or dedicated supervision. As mobile nodes join or leave the newlinenetwork, or radio links between nodes become unreliable, the topology of newlinesuch networks changes over time. Aeronautical Ad hoc Network (AANET) is newlinea subset of MANET with very challenging characteristics, which are very newlineharsh than the traditional MANET. The challenging characteristics are higher newlinemobility of nodes normally between 230 -250 m/s, highly unreliable wireless newlinelinks, resource scarcity, larger geographical area, and frequent topology newlinechanges. This AANET concept was conceived as the complementary system newlinefor satellite-based and cellular-based system in the early of 2006 because of newlinethe widespread of on-board internet access usage over clouds. The rapid revolutionizing phase of internet of Things (IoT) and the development of Electronics gadgets marketing domain forced the humans to rely upon the internet-connected devices for their commercial and daily activities. Hence, people anticipates the internet connectivity above clouds as newlinein the ground. As a result, need of quotsmart skyquot for air traffic support and newlineimplementing IoT above clouds have accelerated various research newlinecommunities towards experiencing in-flight Wi-Fi in much-enhanced way. newlineTypical real-time applications of AANET are Formation Flights, Free Flight newlineand In-Flight Entertainment. Since most of the applications of AANET are newlinereal-time in nature, guaranteeing routing performances in such a harsh newlineenvironment is a mandatory task. This research work solely concentrates on the In-Flight newlineEntertainment experienced by the air passengers using this AANET newlineframework, where the moving aircraft over remote or oceanic regions rely newlineupon the other aircraft for packet transmission. Routing in AANET is an newlineactive research area to be carefully dealt for ensuring the set of predetermined newlineservice requirements for such real-time applications. Moving aircraft are no newlinelonger merely end systems in AANET, also are capable of acting as routers to newlinerelay packets created by other aircraft. The resulting topology changes due to newlinehigher node mobility must be transmitted to all other nodes appropriately as newlinethe nodes move in and out of the communication range concerning other newlineaircrafts, including those that are acting as routers newline newline
