dc.description.abstractABSTRACT newlineAfter the review of literatures, the research gap was coming out as understanding the technology (ICT) acceptance by citizens and challenges of Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) at the district level to operate the common service centers has not been addressed adequately in the review of literature. Citizen s satisfaction while receiving the e-Governance services through Common Service Centers has also not been found in the review of literature. The comparative study of the income of VLEs before and after the CSC business was also not covered. newlineThe present study is an attempt to fill the above research gap by conducting the study in Rayagada district of Odisha with the following research objectives. newlineThe research objectives: newline1. Analyze the level of technology (ICT) acceptance among citizens of Rayagada for accessing e-Governance services, considering factors like age, gender, educational qualification, and profession. newline2. Assess citizen satisfaction with e-Governance services provided by CSCs. newline3. Identify the challenges faced by VLEs (Village Level Entrepreneurs) in operating CSCs in Rayagada District newline4. Conduct a comparative study of VLE income before and after starting the CSC business. newline5. Provide recommendations to increase citizen usage of CSC services. newlineResearch Hypothesis: newlineFor the study the following hypotheses are formulated and tested. newline1. H0: The level of acceptance of ICT for e-Governance by the citizens is not related to age, gender, educational qualification, and profession. (This is further divided into 12 testable hypotheses based on demographic data) newline2. H0: The citizens are not satisfied by the services provided at CSCs. (This is further divided into 4 testable hypotheses based on demographic data) newline3. H0: The VLEs are not facing any challenges to operate the CSCs. newline4.
