| dc.description.abstract | Zero and Minimal Waste Fashion focuses on reducing textile waste through purposeful pattern-making and sustainable design strategies. This study used a mixed-methods approach surveys, workshops, interviews, and curriculum analysis to examine how teaching these techniques influenced undergraduate fashion students in Chandigarh and Mohali. Although awareness was initially low, students showed strong motivation to learn. A three-day experiential workshop enhanced their skills through geometric cutting, upcycling, circular design, and the Cookie Dough Technique. Final collections showcased creative use of recycled materials and crafts. The study also led to introducing a Sustainable Fashion course, strengthening long-term environmental responsibility in fashion education. newline | |
