Recent studies in career psychology has emphasised the development newlineof protean attitude among employees especially knowledge workers and the newlinerepercussions on having a protean mindset towards career or work. Despite newlinethe few studies that identified the positive influence of protean attitude on life newlineand work, there is a lacunae in dissecting the underlying psychological newlinemechanism through which these positive outcomes incur. The study address newlinethis gap by introducing the explanatory role of psychological resources, like newlineperceived employability and psychological capital into the underlying newlinemechanism and proposes a model to explain how protean attitude impacts newlineemployee wellbeing. The model is built on Job demands Resource theory and newlineConservation of resources theory. The population of study includes software newlineengineers in India. Structural Equation Modelling was conducted to test the newlineproposed model. Study finds a mediating role of perceived employability, and newlinepsychological capital in the relationship between protean attitude and newlineemployee wellbeing. A serial mediation with psychological capital and newlineperceived employability is also reported. The implications both practical and newlinetheoretical is discussed. newline
