A Novel Intelligent Robust Optimized Dynamic and Efficient Cluster Based Routing Protocol for IoT Assisted Precision Agriculture

Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a remarkable innovation that offers reliable and practical alternatives for the digitization of numerous industries, including healthcare, farming, smart cities, etc. With the minimum extent of human involvement possible, solutions based on the IoT are being developed to independently maintain and monitor agriculture facilities. IoT networks, which are highly resource restricted, depend heavily on energy efficiency and network longevity to function. To increase network lifespan and optimize energy usage, reliable and efficient routing protocols are essential. Innovative, adaptive, and effective routing algorithms that reduce latency, boost energy savings, and extend network lifespan are necessary for an IoT network to function properly. Such protocols contribute more to Smart Farming with IoT assistance, allowing for increased yields within the allotted period. The work proposes a new routing protocol for smart farming with IoT assistance. The intention is reducing latency, enhancing energy efficiency, improving packet delivery ratio and lengthening network lifetime. Summary of the proposed work The assessed literature suggests that there are still some good chances for more investigation into the open issues. There is room to concentrate on doing the right thing. Implementing multi-hop communication among cluster heads and base station is necessary to optimize routing path among them. The majority of the energy of cluster head is dissipiate when the data exchange happens between cluster head and far away situated base newline
