Under the developing civilization, electricity is the most essential and valuable form of energy and the energy demand is one of the biggest issues in all countries. Nearly twenty years ago, most of the loads used by the industries and consumers were passive and linear in nature, and these loads did not create any major adverse impact in the power system. The advent of modern power electronic converters is contributing significantly to overcome these issues. Nevertheless, the power electronic converters themselves lead to the pollution of the power system by introduction of harmonics. The presence of Power electronic converters and nonlinear loads in the power system are basic reasons for deterioration of power quality. The major motive of this thesis is to incorporate an appropriate and suitable controller to improve the Efficiency and energy management on battery for Hybrid Electric Vehicle. The major parts on Hybrid electric vehicle are the contributions of improving battery efficiency by decreasing it s discharging time and improving the AH rating level. In order to improve the energy management on battery, a suitable bidirectional converter is needed for storing the charge in battery and to maintain the Ampere-Hour(AH) rating level during the regenerative braking on motors in Hybrid electric vehicle. The hybrid electric vehicle with AC drive system consists of a battery, an appropriate suitable non-isolated bidirectional converter, an inverter and PMBLDC motor with a suitable controller for improving its performance. newline
