High Performance Rubber Fibre Concrete (HPRFC) marks a significant step forward over the normal and high strength concrete. All over the world, disposal of used tyres is considered as one of the major environmental challenges due to its non-biodegradable nature. Inclusion of waste tyres in the production of concrete has become technically feasible. Ductility, impact resistance and performance of concrete can be improved by partially substituting the coarse aggregate with certain percentage of waste tyres. The failure pattern of rubber concrete undergoes substantial deformation at ultimate load, indicating ductile failure in contrast to the brittle failure of ordinary cement concrete. However, the strength of rubberized concrete sample is reduced due to the partial replacement of the high strength aggregates with the low strength waste tyre rubber and the poor bonding between the rubber and the cement. This reduction in strength can be minimized by incorporating some of the Supplementary Cementitious Materials (SCMs). In recent years, the world faces environmental challenges in terms of ever-increasing level of greenhouse gas emission and its impact on global warming coupled with fast depleting natural resources. Cement is the widely used binding material and it is an essential constituent of concrete, including High Performance Concrete (HPC). To meet the demand, the over exploitation of cement has led to various harmful consequences. It was estimated that the cement manufacturing industry is producing about ten percentage of CO2 in the overall anthropogenic CO2 emissions newline
