Love poetry and music a critical and creative intervention

Abstract

The thesis titled Love, Poetry and Music: A Critical and Creative Intervention aims to newlinestudy the importance and involvement of love, poetry and music to sustain human newlinecivilization and human relationships by keeping the spirit of humanity alive. The newlinecritical intervention includes analysing selected screenplays from Hindi cinema as newlinewell as Hollywood cinema. This is a study of how love as an emotion is treated and newlineshowcased in the cinematic texts, screenplay as well the film. Moreover, it also newlinestudies how poetry and music as a medium in the narrative as well as bearers of the newlineconcept, affect the overall storytelling. The poetic nuances of human relationships and newlinethe musicality of complexity that empathy brings in these relationships are the factors newlinebeing observed in the thesis. For the creative intervention, a screenplay factoring the newlinestrength of love as an emotion is formulated.
