A highly emerging topic in the photovoltaic device at cost-effective and simplistic newlinefabrication has been earned in Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSCs). The commercialization newlineof DSSCs is currently facing significant hurdles, including challenges related to the low newlineionic conductivity of solid-state electrolytes, issues with leakage in liquid electrolytes, and newlinestability concerns, which have collectively impeded its progress. These challenges hinder newlinethe commercialization of DSSCs, and an ideal solution would involve modifying the solid newlineelectrolyte or transitioning to a gel electrolyte. These electrolytes typically comprise three newlineessential components: a redox shuttle, an additive, and solvents or conductive polymers. newlineOur work primarily involves tuning the redox potential via different ligands and newlinesuitable metals. Modified redox potential redox couple help to construct good electrolyte newlinematerials. Herein, we designed and synthesized a series of electron-withdrawing substituted newlinecopper metal complexes. Subsequently, the bio-organic compound extracted from orange newlinepeel waste limonene was used as an additive material newline newline
