Abstract
Federated cloud is also known as cloud federation which is practice of interfacing the cloud computing environments of multiple service providers in terms of load balancing and providing spikes in demand. The massive growth of federated cloud raised in both the extremes as both commercial and academic applications. Furthermore, it introduces challenges on load imbalance and resource utilization which consumes larger waiting time for users. The load balancing, latency, communication overhead and increase in number of migration are the issues faced in federated cloud environment. To overwhelm those issues, many researches on load balancing, task scheduling and VM migration have been performed whereas none of the work accommodates effective and end to end solution for load balancing, task scheduling and VM migration. The proposed works Entropy-Task Scheduling (Entropy-TS) and Matching-Based Data Center Allocation and Dual Live VM Migration in Cluster-Based Federated Cloud (DALMIG) frameworks resolves those issues in the federated cloud environment by employing effective mechanisms and technologies for accommodating effective solution.
