Abstract

newline The surge in advanced technologies has led to an unprecedented proliferation of automated appliances in residential sectors. Consequently, the increasing electricity demand necessitates the development of novel management schemes to ensure the safety and reliability of domestic installations. In response, Demand Side Management (DSM) emerges as a pivotal solution, playing a significant role in micro-grid and Smart Grid systems. DSM empowers end-users to engage in active communication with grid operators, fostering collaborative decision-making. This collaboration aids utilities in mitigating peak power demand through intelligent load management, with a dual focus on optimizing energy consumption and maintaining customer loyalty. Numerous DSM programs are proposed in the literature, predominantly concentrating on refining energy management systems within the domestic sector. Aligning consumer involvement with grid operations is identified as crucial for enhancing overall efficiency and sustainability in residential energy consumption.
