| dc.description.abstract | Since this decade is a period of advancement and change, our educational system newlinemust alter to meet new demands. We need to change the way we approach education if we newlinewant to meet the expectations of our knowledge-based society. Several variables affect how newlinewell students learn and develop their talents, including their emotional and cognitive traits, newlinephysical and mental development, home environment, cultural awareness, formal and newlineinformal resources in their community, and the educational system as a whole. An important newlinepart of education in India is played by quotEducators.quot They assume many different positions newlineamong students, such as that of teacher, mentor, friend, philosopher, and guide. The educator newlinemust therefore be aware of the emotional and cognitive prerequisites for empathy. Only then newlinewill they be able to guide their students? Empathy is important in education because it helps newlineteachers better understand their students. A teacher who is not empathetic cannot effectively newlinecoach and inspire their students. Before talking about what it means to be a competent newlineeducator, it is important to define competency. Competencies are the knowledge, skills, and newlinevalues that an educator-trainee must demonstrate to pass an educator education program. newlineTeaching competence is the set of abilities, know-how, and moral principles that a teacher newlinebrings to the classroom.
