An Exploratory Research on E Commerce Ecosystem Within Brics with Focus on Determinants and Consumer Optimism

newline The purpose of this research is to highlight the relevance of the factors and identify the newlinedeterminants that influence the e-commerce ecosystem, and aims to develop a framework for a newlinesustainable growth of the E-commerce trade within BRICS. E-commerce is a high growth dynamic newlinefield worldwide as consumers are increasingly changing their purchasing behavior to online newlineshopping. The study indicates that the global E-commerce transactions continue to grow steadily newlineand gradually shifting towards emerging regional markets like BRICS. BRICS has made newlinesignificant progress in integrating with the global economy, emerging as an important strategic newlineblock, with a rising share in global trade in the face of declining shares of developed countries. newlineBRICS has an enormous potential of consumer market, and need arises to identify the determinants newlineand a developmental framework for industry growth. To fulfil the objective of this research, newlinereview of literature and in-depth assessment of the E-commerce ecosystem prevailing in BRICS newlinewas carried out. The review and analysis of the secondary data helped to identify the significant newlinefactors that have an impact on the E-commerce ecosystem. A survey was carried out by newlinequestionnaire and interview methods to collect the primary data, and feedback from a selected newlinegroup of accessible population within BRICS countries. A statistical analysis of the primary data newlinethrough Frequency test, Regression analysis and ANOVA test, by using SPSS software, facilitated newlinedescription and validation of the predictor variables or the determinants. The determinants newlineidentified to be significant were considered for the creation of a developmental framework, such newlineas ICT infrastructure, IT skills to handle innovative E-commerce platforms, Trade logistics newlineinfrastructure, secured online Payment solutions, Regulatory environment for Ease of Doing newlineBusiness and adoption of modern Innovative technologies.
