| dc.description.abstract | This study deals software project stakeholder attributes and stakeholder management in two different types of software projects (i) ERP Implementation and (ii) Core Banking. Software engineering projects are a result of united efforts between the software engineers, the users, and all other project stakeholders associated with it. At the same time, a software project cover multiple entities such as companies, divisions, which may have varied interests though their ultimate objective may be the same. This often leads to a feeling of disconnection between the different stakeholders of the software project, irrespective of the domain. Each may assume that the others are out of touch with reality resulting in misunderstanding, miscommunication and distrust. Therefore, it can be safely said stakeholder management plays an important role in the software project management. Project management related issues especially those related to stakeholders are one of the determining factors for failures and successes in software projects. In this this context, this study was conducted covering software stakeholder attributes and software project stakeholder management factors in different two types of projects (i) ERP implementation and (ii) Core Banking. Through an online survey, responses from stakeholders from across the organizations chosen for the study were obtained. Using the data collected software stakeholder attributes, software stakeholder management practices and their relationship with software project outcome have been examined. The findings were further cross checked through one case studies each for ERP implementation and Core Banking projects. The study helped in bringing out the stakeholder profile in software projects of two different domains. newline newline | |
